CCIC Tree Planting Activities in 2020

In the autumn of 2019, the 7th CCIC Charity Walking Event attracted nearly 400 employees and their family members and received donations of nearly RMB 100,000. Together with CCIC's RMB 1 million donation, the fund would be used for planting 36,666 Pinus sylvestris (Scots pine) trees in Fengning Manchu Autonomous County, Chengde City, Hebei Province, and supporting the forest management for three years to protect the local environment.

In the spring of 2020, the "CCIC Public Welfare Forest" project was not affected by the pandemic thanks to the strong support of the local forestry department. As planned, more than 36,000 Pinus sylvestris trees have been planted in Fengning County.

On the weekend of October 17, more than 40 CCIC employees and their families visited the project site in person . Together with members from the China Green Carbon Foundation and local forestry authorities, they organized tree planting activities and learned about the protection and restoration of natural ecosystems as part of the "CCIC Public Welfare Ecological Protection and Restoration Project", an Ant Forest Charity Open Project.
